Biodata

Veronica Iulia Csorvasi received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Romanian language and literature from Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj, Romania. After graduating, she taught English as a Foreign Language (EFL) in Romania for ten years. She entered the Masters’ program in English literature at the University of Texas at Arlington; at the same time, she completed her Texas teacher certification. Upon graduations, she worked as a high school ESL teacher, ESL Specialist, and ESL Adjunct Faculty.  She currently works as Director of English Learners’ Programs at International Leadership of Texas.  She just completed her doctoral program in Education (Supervision, Curriculum, and Instruction) at Texas A & M University, Commerce, and she received her Ed. D. degree in May, 2019.

Dr. Csorvasi’s research interests include issues related to English learners, especially long-term ELs, newcomers, and ELs in Gifted and Talented programs.  She is passionate about informing campus and district administrators and staff about the unique needs of English learners and about the assets these students bring to the classroom.  She plans to continue doing research on English learners and publishing the research in academic journals.
