A brief CV
Ms. Linda Barker was a teacher in the UK for 12 years, before moving into ‘Development Education’ in 2000 so that she could grow her work and her passion for sustainable development, global justice, and international collaboration.
She is focused on making the world a better place and her belief in the social purpose of education – the way to improve all lives, especially those whose lives are made difficult by social and global injustices.
Linda has contributed to many initiatives at Global Learning London over the past decade such as writing and edition school resources, providing CPD training for teachers and leading on projects, like Shared Ground, looking at the pertinent theme of Migration. She also works as an independent education consultant in the UK and abroad. In July this year, Linda took over as Director of The Global Learning Association.
