Michelle Dewulf is lecturer-researcher in PXL University. She is coordinator of the research project ‘Liever lezen’ about reading promotion, coordinator of the postgraduate Giftedness and she coordinates the Flanders-wide project ‘Remediëring’ (VLHORA). Michelle also teaches Dutch to the students of the teacher training primary education.

Field of expertise/ research: Education: Liever lezen, a practice-oriented research with impact for reading promotion in schools. Reading pleasure is central to this research; to increase the language competences and reading skills of the students. Through study days and intensive coaching, the partner schools were given input in the field of reading policy and language teaching trough arts expression. During this presentation I will show good practices linked to the strategies to develop a good reading policy and to promote reading.
