Najib Bounahai, (Ph.D Tufts University, USA; Master of Arts and Postgraduate Diploma, EssexUniversity, UK and Bachelor of Arts, Mohammed University, Rabat, Morocco.

Professor Najib Bounahai is Full Professor of Higher education with particular interest in postcolonial studies, cultural studies as well as performance studies. Some of his areas of research and teaching include language and cultural policy-making and its connections with the wider political, social and economic context. He has published several articles and supervised doctoral theses in the sociology, history and anthropology of performance and literature with focus on countries from the MENA region and across the African continent.

In addition to his academic trajectory, Pr. Bounahai holds particular interest in stagecraft and has directed several plays (mises en scene) from various theatrical traditions. He is also a specialist in Language engineering and a coordinator of the language programs at Faculty of Governance, Economic and Social Sciences, Rabat Campus.
