A brief CV
Laly is passionate about education and languages, with a degree in English Philology by the ULPGC, her interest in education led her to pursue a postgraduate degree in education at Exeter University in the United Kingdom where she was teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language and learning about foreign language didactics for a few years.
Back home, she developed her professional career as a teacher and coordinator of the Language department at an educational center. Little by little she was assuming more responsibilities as a member of the Department of Pedagogical Innovation first and opening a new professional stage as head of studies and director later at the Brains International School Telde.
After a few years, she has continued to improve her professional career with training in management skills, technological innovation, active methodologies (flipped classroom, cooperative learning) or gamification, among others, that have led her to mentor different trainees and teach online courses through the ULPGC on bilingualism and neurodidactics.
The case of Brains School: Adapting to and embracing the new reality
Colegio Brains has its own Department of Pedagogical Innovation (DIP) that examines all the technological and methodological innovations for its implementation, giving curricular weight to the development of computational language. Teachers are creators of content and enhance the relationship that students making them protagonists of their own learning, getting them to think, believe and question themselves in a current and motivating way. Colegio Brains will implement a new teacher training program in technological aspects and in English on the MOOC Udemy platform in 2021, adapting to new learning times with courses in video format with interaction with students worldwide.
