Dr. Ana Sof\u00eda Urraca L\u00f3pez<\/span><\/p>\n [\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n Biodata<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Ana Sof\u00eda Urraca L\u00f3pez<\/strong> is a doctor from the Autonomous University of Madrid, in the Official Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology and Health (Department of Biological and Health Psychology, Psychobiology Area). His research area includes the neuropsychological and psychophysiological study of cognitive psychological processes, including perception, memory and language. Within this latter field, her main interests are bilingualism and language alterations as a consequence of acquired brain damage and developmental disorders. She is a Full Professor of the Cardenal Cisneros University Center (attached to the University of Alcal\u00e1 de Henares) since 2008, teaching in the Degree in Psychology, in the Bachelor’s Degree in Infant and Bilingual Primary Education, in the Official Master’s Degree in Attention to Diversity and Educational Support and in the Master’s Degree in General Health Psychology, of which she is currently the academic director.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n Cerebro biling\u00fce y cognici\u00f3n: Correlatos neuropsicol\u00f3gicos y psicofisiol\u00f3gicos<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Currently, bilingualism is associated not only with high communicative competence in a second language, but also with other cognitive abilities. This presentation will be based on a brief description of the scientific disciplines that investigate the brain and the techniques they use, reflecting on the methodological difficulties that exist in research in this field.
