Dr. Glenn Sanford<\/span><\/p>\n [\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n A brief CV<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Dr. Glenn M. Sanford, J.D., Ph.D., is a first-generation college graduate who serves as Dean of the College of Human Sciences and Humanities at University of Houston-Clear Lake. His research interests range from equity in educational outcomes to the intersection of law and public policy. He has spent his entire professional career at regional comprehensive universities and is firmly committed to their mission of providing educational access and community engagement via innovative programs designed to address regional needs. Beyond his teaching and research, he has led numerous institutional programs and initiatives as well as assuming leadership roles in state, regional, and national organizations.<\/span><\/p>\n Dr. Sanford holds a bachelor\u2019s degree in philosophy from The College of Wooster, a Ph.D. in philosophy from Duke University, and a J.D. from the University of Houston. Additionally, he is licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Disruption in International Education:\u00a0 Challenges and Opportunities <\/strong><\/p>\n Our presentation will highlight the changing roles in higher education as we navigate the many challenges and seek opportunities for success in international education for our campus stakeholders. COVID-19, climate change, incidents of mounting racial and international tensions have forced modifications on our global planning frameworks.\u00a0 We must re-align priorities and identify new opportunities with short to long-term strategies along with the use of technology\/virtual tools to facilitate global learning, research partnerships and engagement.
