Dr. Óscar Chiva-Bartoll
Biodata
He is currently a Professor of Education at Jaume I University. Previously, he was a teacher of secondary education and teacher in the Department of Musical, Visual Arts and Corporal Expression in the University of Valencia. Bachelor´s Degree in Sciences of Physical activities and Sports and International Interuniversity PhD by the University of Valencia and Jaume I University. He has also supplement his formation with a Master in Research and Intervention in Sciences of Physical Activity and Sports and a Master in Ethics and Democracy.
He has made several research visits focusing his interest in pedagogy and philosophy of Sports and in methodological innovation in Physics Education. He is coordinator of the ENDAVANT research group and he participates actively in research and educative innovation projects based on the application of AICLE method and service-learning in Physical Education. From these projects he made a lot of publications of books, chapters of books and in indexed articles in international and national databases.
Does the CLIL method affect the idiosyncrasy of Physical Education?
The implementation of CLIL method in the class of Physical education is increasing. This presentation will provide answer to those critics’ voices who wield that the implementation of CLIL means disadvantages for the correct treatment and learning of Physical Education. Supported by recent field studies, it will be analyzed to what extend it is modified concrete parameters and basic elements of Physical Education when it is implemented CLIL.
