Doctor in English Language and Literature, Javier Díaz holds three University Degrees: Modern Languages, Law Studies and Psychology and has worked as a school principal for 18 years.

Dr. Díaz designed and planned from scratch the first trilingual English-Spanish-Chinese school in Spain and he is currently the headmaster of the center.

At the same time, he has been very much involved in the world of teaching, doing these jobs:

• President of the Educational Council of the Town Hall in Torremolinos from 1992 to 2006, and from 2008 to 2013.
• Secretary of the Schooling Commission in Torremolinos, from 1997 to 2006
• Secretary of the Spanish Confederation of Schools from 2000 to 2003
• Author of several units of the textbook Different 3, from the editorial Richmond/Santillana.
• Regular writer on the educational section of several newspapers in Malaga province.
• Partner in the Program Microsoft Innovative Schools (2005-2010).

He has also experience managing companies, human relations, Bilingualism, and teaching at all different levels and methods, like Montessori, EPC, Piaget, etc.

Creating and leading multilingual schools

Though this communication, Dr. Díaz will share with us his experience creating, designing and planning from scratch MIT school: He looked for the land, designed the building, supervised the construction, bought all the equipment, trained the new teachers (more than 50), established the new Administration, all new papers, created the new web page himself, designed the school uniforms, logo, the marketing strategy and all single designs: road signs, leaflets, etc.

He is currently the headmaster and the leader of this trilingual school, knowing the challenges and the opportunities not only in the creation but also in the management of multilingual centers.
